Sorry Day
We have been acknowledging Sorry Day with the students. Sorry Day (National Sorry Day) is observed annually on May 26th in Australia. It’s a day of remembrance and reflection, acknowledging the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Students gathered in their houses and read the story Walking Together by Coral Vass and Dub Leffler, before creating a pattern on a hand. The hand artworks have been put on display in the library for everyone to enjoy.
