Grade 1/2 students have been exploring subtraction through a variety of strategies, including using fact families, making ten, and working with a blank number line. In Religion, they have been learning about the sacraments of Baptism and Reconciliation. As part of this unit, students have discovered the symbols of Baptism, created baptismal doves, and examined photographs from their own baptisms to identify these symbols in real life. In Writing, students have been enthusiastically crafting imaginative narratives, with popular themes including toys coming to life and other creative adventures.
