On Friday the 13th of June, some of the Grade 5/6 boys and girls walked down to the Wonthaggi Recreation Reserve for girls footy and boy’s netball. The girl’s played Bass Valley for our first game at 10:30 and sadly lost by a point. Our next game was against Newhaven, and we managed to win by 10 whopping points! We played very well and we were improving each game. After that, we played Bilson Street and we lost by a huge 20 points. We were disappointed, but we held our heads high and showed persistence.  Our last game was all about having fun, and relishing the game. We ended up losing by a lot of goals. Although we tried our best, we didn’t make it on. We didn’t hang our heads, and we left in a positive mood because it was about being strong leaders and enjoying the experience.

Last Friday, the 5/ 6 boys went to the netball courts in Wonthaggi. We left at a quarter past 9 and headed off to the courts. The boys were really excited to represent our school well, and we did just that.

First up, we took on San Remo Primary and ran away with the win. Secondly, we versed Newhaven Primary and just barely lost by 1.  Our second last game we versed Cowes Primary and they were pretty hard to beat, so we unfortunately lost that one. Lastly, we versed Wonthaggi Primary and we beat them by heaps.
