It has been an exciting start to Term 3 in Year 1/2, with students busy exploring new ideas and building on their learning.

In Writing, students have been learning how to make sentences more interesting by exploring different parts of speech, such as nouns (people, places, things), verbs (action words), and adjectives (describing words).

In Mathematics, we have been exploring Multiplication, where students have been using drawings, hands-on materials, and number sentences to solve simple problems.

Our Integrated Studies unit ‘Listen Up!’ has encouraged the students to explore the variety of sounds around them. A highlight was creating harmonicas to investigate how sound is made.

Students have shown great curiosity and effort, and we are excited for all the learning still to come this term!
