Welcome back to Term 3 and the return of STEAM! We are all so excited to see it’s return!

My name is Nicole Buccilli and I feel blessed to be given the opportunity to begin the teaching of STEAM this term.

I wanted to take this opportunity to reintroduce you all to what STEAM is all about.

STEAM stands for:

Science

Technology

Engineering

Art

Mathematics

These five disciplines all involve important skills that are integrated through the subject of STEAM. Topics are chosen each term that are related to the real world and allow students to investigate, inquire, collaborate, evaluate and reflect.

For the duration of Term 3, STEAM will travel around to each classroom. However, in Term 4, upon completion of building works, we will set up in the STEAM classroom, which will allow the subject to really come to life!

The disciplines of STEAM are all around us and our hope is that this subject, along with our Catholic faith, equips and empowers students to compassionately see the world around them and help make positive changes.
